Provide and implement plans for funding for broadband in rural Georgia    Why. All three of these objectives work together to make our communities healthier, with more jobs, and thriving rural communities interfacing with hub cities.

DO YOU SUPPORT LEGISLATION THAT WOULD PREVENT BUSINESS OWNERS AND EMPLOYERS FROM DENYING SERVICES TO LGBTQ PEOPLE AND OTHERS BASED ON THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS?

Yes. Federal law prevents discrimination based on factors not including sexual orientation I believe there needs to be a State law to prevent discrimination of LGBTQ and Transgender.

DO YOU SUPPORT ENDING CASH BAIL FOR LOW-LEVEL OFFENSES? 

Yes. Being poor should not be a crime.

DO YOU SUPPORT THE CREATION OF A NON-PARTISAN INDEPENDENT REDISTRICTING COMMISSION?

Yes. I believe this along with other ideas like using mathematical algorithms could be an alternative to the methods now in place.

WOULD YOU SUPPORT AN ENGLISH-ONLY CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT IF IT WERE ON THE BALLOT?

Yes. I believe in rights of workers.

DO YOU SUPPORT THE RIGHT OF WORKERS TO FORM A UNION AND BARGAIN COLLECTIVELY?

No. I don’t believe guns are appropriate for a learning environment.

DID YOU/DO YOU SUPPORT GUNS ON CAMPUS?

No. I would like to do further research on this topic. I don’t see going nuclear as our future I would like to invest more in solar and wind.

No. I would like to do further research on this topic. I don’t see going nuclear as our future I would like to invest more in solar and wind.

DO YOU SUPPORT CHANGING GEORGIA'S VOTING SYSTEM TO A VOTER-MARKED (PEN OR PENCIL) PAPER BALLOT WITH OPTICAL SCANNERS?

Yes. This will leave a paper trail.

DO YOU SUPPORT THE EXPANSION OF EARLY VOTING?

Yes. I believe voting rights are one of our most valued rights in our Country. These rights need to be protected and promoted to where all voters can have access to vote.

DO YOU SUPPORT PUBLIC VOUCHERS BEING USED FOR PRIVATE AND/OR CHARTER SCHOOLS?

No. I am a State of Georgia Certified Teacher and I don’t want resources taken from public schools. Public schools have the most qualified and trained teachers in their schools.

DO YOU SUPPORT MEDICAID EXPANSION OR ANOTHER GEORGIA-SPECIFIC PLAN TO EXTEND HEALTH INSURANCE TO LOW-INCOME GEORGIANS?

Yes. Too many people do not have health insurance and fall between the cracks. A healthy population is a population that is a better work force. It just makes common sense.

WILL YOU SUPPORT POLICIES AND LEGISLATION THAT INCREASE ACCESS TO REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE, INCLUDING ABORTION, AND OPPOSE POLICIES AND LEGISLATION THAT LIMIT OR REDUCE ACCESS TO REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE, INCLUDING ABORTION?

Yes. Women have the right to have affordable healthcare and access to healthcare. Women have the right to make decisions about their health.  Too many women in Georgia die from maternal deaths, women have the right to prenatal care and health insurance.

WOULD YOU SUPPORT EFFORTS TO STRENGTHEN SOCIAL SECURITY FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE RETIREES AND PUT THE PROGRAM ON A MORE STABLE FISCAL PATH?

Yes. I support social security and deem it necessary to make sure it is sustained for future generations.

DO YOU SUPPORT A LIVABLE WAGE OF A MINIMUM OF $15 PER HOUR?

Yes. A livable wage is necessary for people to pay for housing, food and healthcare.
