#159CalltoAction: Help Voters Obtain IDs with Spread the Vote Training
Spread the Vote training and opportunities in Cobb County on Saturday, March 3, and Metro Atlanta, on Tuesday, March 6. #159CalltoAction #159Civic Engagement
In the United States, there are 34 states in which voter ID requirements (photo ID or other forms of ID) are enforced. Twenty-one million eligible U.S. voters do not have government-issued photo ID. Of those 21 million, the majority fall into one of the following four categories: people of color, low income, elderly, and young.
For many, these categories intersect. Spread The Vote’s mission is to help every single American obtain the ID he or she needs to participate in our democracy.
Training on how to help voters obtain ID with Spread The Vote:
- Saturday March 3, Cobb County: 1-2 p.m. Emerson UCC, 4010 Canton Road, Marietta.
- Tuesday, March 6, Metro Atlanta: 6-7 p.m. Blackburn Conference Center, 1405 Spring St. NW, Atlanta.
Light refreshments provided, children welcome.
