First elected to the Georgia State House in 2014, Representative Jeff Jones, proudly represents all citizens of District 167, including northern Glynn, and all of McIntosh and Long counties.

Representative Jones is seeking reelection to continue his work on legislative initiatives such as re-establishing coastal marsh buffers; expanding public notice prior to coal-ash pond draining into local community and state waters; increasing payment from our State for state owned property removed from tax roles in McIntosh and Long Counties; working at the state level to solve Glynn County's Joint Water Sewer Commission infrastructure repair funding; legislation to stop DDS from issuing a Georgia Driver’s License to persons without “lawful status” to be in our country; collecting a fee for out-of-state cash wire transfers by human traffickers, drug dealers, gamblers and others; legislation giving teachers a $250 Georgia tax credit for out-of-pocket school supply expenses, involvement in distracted driving study committee and subsequent legislation; legislation to differentiate public and private swimming pools under the Department of Health, potentially saving private pool owners (condos, private community pools) millions in unnecessary regulatory and compliance expenses; plus many other initiatives.

Jeff and family actively support Habitat for Humanity, where wife Lisa is Board Secretary, FCA, CareNet Pregnancy Center, Gathering Place and Children in Action youth ministries plus supporting a variety of other community charities.
