1. Government Transparency: We need to reform the entire states ethics laws to give the people the real power to hold elected officials accountable. 2. Environmental Protection: We must protect Georgia 100 miles of coastline from pollution and destruction and ecological destruction. 3. Economic Development: We need growth and development for Georgia's rural areas and high-poverty communities.
DO YOU SUPPORT LEGISLATION THAT WOULD PREVENT BUSINESS OWNERS AND EMPLOYERS FROM DENYING SERVICES TO LGBTQ PEOPLE AND OTHERS BASED ON THEIR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS?
Yes. You cannot and should not attempt to legislate morality, NOR should you discriminate against others based on the personal lifestyle choices you make.
DO YOU SUPPORT A CLEAN DREAM ACT THAT WOULD ALLOW FOR BOTH LEGAL STATUS FOR DREAMERS AND PROVIDE FOR A PATH TO CITIZENSHIP?
Yes. This is America, we were built on immigration and that is what makes our country the wonderful melting pot that it is. DREAMERS and those here under DACA need citizenship immediately, bottom line. The sooner we get their citizenship, the quicker we can propel our economy to where it needs to be- the diverse rich society it was always meant to be.
DO YOU SUPPORT THE RIGHT OF WORKERS TO FORM A UNION AND BARGAIN COLLECTIVELY?
Yes. Yes! Workers in certain industries need the power of collective bargaining to ensure they are compensated fairly. Hospitality is one of them. Blue -collar workers need collective bargaining, bottom line. Or corporate greed and abuse will prevail.
DO YOU SUPPORT A LIVABLE WAGE OF A MINIMUM OF $15 PER HOUR?
Yes. Georgia needs a livable wage. But I am not sure that $15 is the exact number. That is California's new livable wage and unfortunately, the cost of everything has gone up in California so significantly that they now have a massive working homelessness crisis. And that is a state where $15 made sense. I support a livable wage, but we need to get that number right for the Georgia economy.
DO YOU/DID YOU SUPPORT UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ALL GUN SALES?
Yes. Every single gun purchase should be public record and include a universal background check.
DO YOU SUPPORT INCENTIVES FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT?
Yes. I hope to sponsor or support state legislation that will create incentives for solar and wind energy developments AND use of CDBG money to push down to City Governments for building renewable energy affordable housing.
DO YOU SUPPORT PUBLIC VOUCHERS BEING USED FOR PRIVATE OR CHARTER SCHOOLS?
No. Public vouchers should not be used to fund any private schools-ever.
DO YOU SUPPORT BUILDING ON THE SUCCESSES OF THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT AND MEDICAID?
Yes. Georgia needs to expand Medicaid. I am for Single-payer.

Yes. We must ensure that our elderly population is sustained. Social Security is prefunded to about 2034, we need to make sure it is stabilized now.
DO YOU SUPPORT THE REPEAL OF MANDATORY MINIMUM SENTENCING?
Yes. It is both unfair and destructive, all across the nation and it tends to affect minority communities in a disparate manner.
