Ready. Set. Midterms. How Are You Helping?
So, just what are you doing to help elect progressives this November. Asking for a few friends.... Have you made plans to go vote with a friend? Are you helping to register friends and neighbors? Have you done your research to know who beat represents your values and interests?
If the answer to these questions is of course! Wonderful. Keep those sleeves rolled up and carry on.
If your answer is no? Should I be? Then, take a minute and look at this country and ask yourself if this is what you want? Are your progressive values being represented? Should there be health care for all? Should everyone have the right to vote regardless of their gender, sexual preference or race? If the answer is yes, then get to work.
Doing what? Helping to register as many progressives before the Oct. 9 deadline. If you need inspiration or suggestions of how to get started, check out the opportunities at facebook.com/159ga.
Double check to make sure you are still registered to vote at mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do. If there is an issue, then correct it before the deadline.
After the deadline, talk to your friends and family members to set a plan to go vote on Tuesday, Nov. 6. If paper ballots are your thing, then request your ballot by the Nov. 2 deadline.
Above all, go vote. Do the research. Don’t know where to look? Check out the Voter Guide. Cast your ballot. Don’t sit on the sidelines. We need you. Get involved.
