Well Done! Now Let's Be Vigilant and Focus on Mueller's Investigation
First and foremost, congratulations for all the hard work in July. We, through our phone calls, faxes, rallies, postcards and letters, saved access to health care for millions of Americans. Well Done!
Now, that we have had the weekend to celebrate a very dramatic Thursday night/Friday morning, let's not lose our focus. There is still much work to be done. And, the Republicans will try again. We must be on guard and ready to muster our forces to save the Affordable Care Act again.
In fact, now is a great time to call our senators and remind them that we do, in fact, support health care for all. And, a bipartisan solution to fixing the issues with the ACA are in fact what Georgia voters want.
We want access to good health care for all. We want our rural hospitals to be saved. We want people with disabilities to be able to live independent lives. We don't want tax breaks for the most wealthy if it means we have to give up these things.
After those calls, then make a few more calls in support of the Mueller investigation and getting to the bottom of Russia's interference with our elections. And, let's call our state officials too, while we are at it and draw attention to the story about the hackers only needing 90 minutes to hack the nation's voting machines.
And, while we are at it, let's call our congressional delegation in support of trans rights, whether it be in the military or civil life. The Declaration of Independence says we all have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness with no strings attached. Let's not allow politics to add strings.
So, let's all pat one another on the backs then roll the sleeves back up and get back to work. There is much to be done.
