#159CalltoAction: Write Stone Mountain Association a Thank You

Coming from our friends at Stone Mountain Indivisible, Indivisible GA 4, Midway Avondale Decatur Alliance, Clarkston Indivisible, take a moment to thank Stone Mountain Park for refusing a permit to a white supremacy group requesting a permit to burn a cross in the park. Many white supremacists consider Stone Mountain to be their rightful gathering place.

Georgia’s 4th District is one of the most diverse communities in the country. The City of Stone Mountain has approximately 75 percent of residents identifying as African American. Citizens of Stone Mountain and surrounding areas deserve to be able to move about freely without fear of an invasion of gun-toting neo-Nazis and white supremacy groups.

Stone Mountain Park has taken a stand by not allowing a permit. Use the form and thank them for this move. We need to support their decision. These thank you notes will provide documentation so that when the association gets pushback, as it surely will, it can show how many have written in support.
